You will only pay $0.65 for each invitation over the 50. The cost of the invitations can be written as C = 45 + 0.65(g – 50) where g is the number of invitations you plan to buy.

A) yes, they are, because they can be graphed as y=mx+b. in both cases, x is the number of invites minus 50. the price per invite over 50 is the slope (m), and the y-intercept (b) is the setup price including the first 50. since these can be written as y=mx+b, they are functions. (you can also enter them into your graphing calculator, if u have one. that would help you alot.)
